Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To produce accurate quotations for Litho, Digital and Large Format print, liaising with colleagues and outsource suppliers ensuring that our clients receive high end quality products and at viable costs whilst maximising company profit.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Create competitive and accurate quotations for our clients, within required time scales using our internal MIS (EFI Pace) 
  • Produce quotes utilising our resources to achieve high quality products whilst maximising profit margins.
  • Work closely with both the Sales and Production team to agree most cost effective ways to produce a job.
  • Support both Sales and CSR’s with technical queries relating to jobs.

Essential:

  • Previous experience within estimating
  • Excellent IT skills must be a competent user of MS Office including the use of Excel at an Intermediate/advanced level.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex requirements
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Understanding of all print and print finishing processes for Litho, Digital and Large Format work.

Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

The Print assistant is a key member of the production team, supporting the Printers to ensure presses are running to max capacity.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Ensure that Printing plates are available in line with Production schedule
  • Ensure Printing presses are not waiting for production materials (E.g. ink, paper, coating, consumables, etc)
  • Check ink ducts are topped up and using correct ink
  • Ensure the Press room is kept clean and safe
  • Assist the printer in press wash ups when required
  • Assist the printer in equipment maintenance
  • Manage soiled rags and rubbish bins
  • Manage all waste i.e. Chemical, ink, paper, waste
  • Waste bins removed when full

Essential:

  • Minimum 2years experience working in a Print Assistant capacity

Desirable:

  • Experience running Litho Presses

Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To produce accurate and quality digital and litho print communication materials for on time delivery to customers.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Check job bag instructions and ensure accuracy of specifications to produce accurate and quality end product. Communicate any changes to all relevant colleagues and departments
  • Ensure adequate and efficient supply of materials are ready to minimise machine downtime
  • Work on various print finishing machines and maintain an efficient production workflow
  • Ensure all finishing jobs are packed, labelled and palletised correctly prior to going to despatch department
  • Carry out scheduled cleaning and maintenance of machines
  • Attend meetings as necessary and as required and prepare reports and document labels and logs as required
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and implement safe working practices

Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To produce printed products from job bags and plates provided and pass on to finishing.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

To take printed work and perform various finishing operations to include

  • Operate Heidelberg XL 75 B2 10 Colour Perfector with Impress Control
  • Operate Heidelberg XL 105 B1 5 Colour with inline coater and impress control
  • Produce high quality printed products and be accountable for your own work.
  • Where necessary liaise with internal departments to ensure jobs are produced correctly.
  • Utilising skills and experience maximise production output.
  • Carry out maintenance of printing machines and equipment to ensure the smooth running of production.
  • Carry out housekeeping and cleanliness activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
  • As part of the production team perform any related and reasonable duties required to ensure jobs are produced correctly and on time.

Essential:

  • Minimum 2years experience working the capacity of a Printer
  • Methodical
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude
  • Willingness to train on other Finishing machinery
  • Previous experience within a Print Finishing/warehouse packing roleDESIREABLE
  • Experience running both B1 5 Colour and B2 10 colour press
