Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To produce digital printed products from job bags and plates provided and pass on to finishing.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Produce high quality digitally printed products and be accountable for your own work.
  • Where necessary liaise with internal departments to ensure jobs are produced correctly.
  • Utilising skills and experience maximize production output.
  • Carry out maintenance of printing machines and equipment to ensure the smooth running of production.
  • Carry out housekeeping and cleanliness activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
  • As part of the production team perform any related and reasonable duties required to ensure jobs are produced correctly and on time.

Minimum 3 years experience running a HP Indigo and Xeikon

Experience in Large format – Canon, Nuvera, Vutech and Mimaki

Salary: Depending on experience

Job title: Print Finisher (shift work)

Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To produce accurate and quality digital and litho print communication materials for on time delivery to customers.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Check job bag instructions and ensure accuracy of specifications to produce accurate and quality end product.  Communicate any changes to all relevant colleagues and departments
  • Ensure adequate and efficient supply of materials are ready to minimise machine downtime
  • Work on various print finishing machines and maintain an efficient production workflow
  • Ensure all finishing jobs are packed, labelled and palletised correctly prior to going to despatch department
  • Carry out scheduled cleaning and maintenance of machines
  •  Attend meetings as necessary and as required and prepare reports and document labels and logs  as required
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and implement safe working practices

Overview of the role purpose and objectives:

To work closely with the sales person and key client contacts to service client needs, maintaining and growing the client relationships.
To achieve this you will also need to effectively liaise with internal colleagues in the chain of production and supply so that the client journey is as smooth and problem free as possible.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

Maintain regular contact with clients to identify requirements and offer technical support to ensure that client needs are clearly defined and the job order is accurately completed.
Manage a portfolio of client accounts and track and monitor current jobs for those accounts, and keeping clients regularly informed of progress, delays and managing their expectations. Use the in house Management Information System, PACE as a productivity tool to manage customer relationships.
Provide a proactive and responsive service to capture changes in clients’ requirements and record and pass on the information to relevant internal colleagues in studio, print, finishing and despatch.
Build client relationships to support growth in sales and maintain any preferred supplier status.

Produce reports as required by clients and internal colleagues.

Provide feedback to internal colleagues to identify and prevent poor customer service and help reduce non –conformances.

Work with and manage third party suppliers as necessary to ensure that client requirements are serviced

Qualifications Required:
-A levels – (A-D grades)
-GCSE’s English, Mathematics, Science A-C

-Degree in communications or related subjects
-Print administration NVQ

Skills Required:
-Excellent IT skills to input, manipulate and report on data- Including Microsoft office.
-Organisation and planning, able to work with deadlines
-Influential and persuasive communication skills
-Numerate and commercial
-Professional and respectful manner, especially on the telephone
-Negotiating skills to manage expectations on delivery deadlines

-Knowledge of technical print production and finishing
-Knowledge of print buying and print management

Experience Required:
-Previous experience in a similar role
-Experience of demanding fast turn round work
-Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams

-Litho and digital print industry experience
